Artificial Grass and Your Pets
Pets, especially large dogs, can give your yard a beating. Regular grass can easily be torn up between digging, going to the bathroom, and regular romping around. Artificial grass can be a great way to protect your lawn without hurting your pets.
Bathroom Dilemma
What about the bathroom? When your pet has to go to the bathroom, often, especially dogs, go to the bathroom on the lawn. Their urine gets washed away with rainwater as usual, and if you don’t pick up their feces can easily be washed away with a hose as well.
Chewing the Artificial Grass
Pets love to chew grass, but considering it is artificial, is it safe for pets to chew on? So when they chew on this grass, they can pass it easily without any issues. You won’t acquire any emergency veterinary bills because of artificial grasses.
Air Conditioners
No one likes it when it’s hot and thick out, and neither does your pet, so if you have an air conditioner, make sure they can enjoy it too. Keeping a bedroom cool can seem like a priority but it's wise to think about how hot the rest of the house is as well. If it is getting warm, open that bedroom door for your pets so they can stay cool.
Is Artificial Grass Safe?
Artificial grass is explicitly designed to be safe for pets and children. This means your pets won’t have any negative experiences with artificial grasses. They can run, romp, play, chew, and dig at the grass without the grass tearing, breaking, or harming your pets whatsoever.
Artificial grass is incredibly safe for all of your pets. If you have any questions about synthetic grass and your pets, feel free to reach out to our Vero Beach emergency vet office.
